The Dunedin Celtic Music & Craft Beer Festival presented by the Dunedin Scottish Arts Foundation is an annual event centered around Traditional and Contemporary Celtic music and both local and national craft beer. This year, the event is FREE as well as FREE parking.
The 2020 festival will be different than our festival in year's past due to the continued focus on keeping everyone safe. We're keeping the entire event smaller, with several local Celtic bands (to be confirmed), plenty of room for social distancing, contactless payments (no cash transactions), hand sanitizer stations throughout the park, as well as distanced gathering areas where families can safely enjoy themselves.
All volunteers will be wearing face masks during the event and we encourage spectators to as well. We ask for everyone's help in respecting social distancing guidelines to support us in a safe and fun event.
This is a RAIN or SHINE outdoor festival featuring multiple musical acts ALL DAY! Each year the main stage features regional, national, and international Celtic music artists along with the City of Dunedin Pipe Band.
Please Register - Tickets are available NOW and FREE! Scroll down below or click the Ticket link. Tickets are completely free but we ask that you register through EventBrite so that we have a better gauge on how many attendees are coming.
Gates open at 9am. Bands start at noon! Need to know where to park? Click here
No pets, coolers, or tents are allowed. This is NOT a pet friendly event! As much as we love animals, the festival is loud, and there are tons of people we need to keep safe. Please leave your animals at home where they'll have a much better time!
New in 2020, and to help account for the lack of piping and drumming competitions this year, we are offering a solo piping and drumming contest during the morning of the festival prior to the bands starting.
Check out the Piping and Drumming Competition page for more details.
We have many opportunities available and encourage you to participate in as many as you are able. Your volunteer shift will earn you complimentary entry to the festival, a volunteer t-shirt, as well as one cold beverage of your choice once your shift is completed. Please click the link below to register for a volunteer spot!
