Piping and Drumming Competition

New in 2020, and to help account for the lack of piping and drumming competitions this year, we are offering a solo piping and drumming contest during the morning of the festival prior to the bands starting. Event details as well as a link to register are further below.

Competitions – Amateur Light Music only (no professional or Piob.); $15/event – registration closes November 11th

Piping:

• Grade 1, 2, or 3 – 2/4 March, Strathspey/Reel
• Grade 4 – 2/4 March (4 parts)
• Grade 5 – 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 March (2 parts)

Snare Drumming:

• Grade 1 or 2 – Hornpipe/Jig, MSR
• Grade 3 – 2/4 March, Strathspey/Reel
• Grade 4 – 2/4 March (4 parts)
• Grade 5 – 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 March (2 parts)

Bass/Tenor:

• Novice Bass/Tenor – March
• Amateur Bass/Tenor – MSR
